Discrimination in the workplace is a serious matter in any circumstance. But when a government employee loses their job, resulting in discrimination allegations, matters tend to gain attention. Such is the case for the former Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs liaison, Ronault Catalani.

After he was terminated from his position last September, Catalani made claims related to racial discrimination and retaliation during his employment with the city of Portland. These allegations go back years, in relation to personnel rule violations in regard to him.
